 BRUNO MALI KIDD

“OTHER ARTISTS JUST MAKE MUSIC, BUT I’M BRINGING BACK HIP-HOP CLASSIC STUFF” - SPOOK

Catchy phrases with his distinctive voice he spits using personal experience or becomes the face of many untold stories, you might think that you tuned in to a down south version of Jadakiss with the diverse sound of Common but flows out with Miami swag of Rick Ross. Bruno Mali Kid, the alter ego of Spook classifies himself as a new image of hip hop rather than being compared to legendary artists. Being the third child of seven siblings Crisnel Devin Joseph life experiences has molded him into the artist that he is now. Born in Freeport, Bahamas but raised in Lil Haiti (Miami) Florida reality came to an abrupt pace in his young life. At the age of 18, his older brother was murdered which was a plot concocted by his own friend. This ravaged Crisnel’s personality leading him into the same mold that in time took his brother’s life. In 2004, he began to sell drugs at the somber age of 15. When most kids his age were getting ready for their sophomore year in High School he was trading heroin for profit in the streets of Overtown. He eventually was caught up and was sent to Pahokee residential program (level 8) for two years. During the span of his confinement, to pass the time music was (and still is) his stimulant to make it throughout the days. From time to time he would freestyle and battle fellow inmates. As his popularity grew because of his musical hue and cadence so did the evolution of SPOOK. Upon his release he becomes conscious of the passion that he had for music and that this art would become his breakthrough. “When writing music it’s the only time I feel free, once I step foot in the booth it’s an unexplainable feeling of having the world in my hands. My swag, the way I attack the beat, the way I deliver, my charisma, the energy I bring to my music. Eclectic, not scared to try something different, I LOVE MUSIC.” In 2010, Bruno Mali kidd aka Young Spook drops his first ever mixtape entitled "Lokal Addiction" includes tracks such as LAYLOW, IN DA MIDST, FLY which became the street favorite. In the following year, he released another classic mixtape called "Bomb Money" includes tracks such as NECK OF MY WOODS, , all under his former label(Mirror Muzik). Spook also featured on magazines such as Tip Drill and many more. In 2012, the 2011 Best In Dade Awards rookie of the year artist joined forces with some of his local business minded friends to form Blocc Starz Ferretti Boyz under Blocc Money Billionaires Music Group. Label includes members such as himself, Main-Capone, Fyre Da Producer, Kaddilak Jack,DJ Bookie, DJ Bopman, Solo and many more.
